Artist STatement

I love being a cultural bridge. 
Through music, I connect my audience to Mexican and Latinx stories, culture, and history.

As an indigenous mestiza woman, I gravitate to the music that represents me.

I pay attention to the history and context behind each song I choose, and I share these connections with the public through interdisciplinary presentations.

Music always takes center stage, and other art disciplines -culinary, dance, poetry, etc.- support the subject I concentrate on.

I hope that anyone experiencing my performances can enjoy and learn about my Latina heritage and culture. And that our young Latinx can see themselves in these stories.

I believe that all cultures and people deserve a dignified space.
